Do you need help to find your StrengthsFinder ® report? Here we show you how to log in to the Gallup Access portal to download your CliftonStrengths ® / StrengthsFinder ® Top 5 or All 34 report.
Don’t worry if you’ve lost your login details, we will show you how to recover the information. There is also a guide on how to change the report language and upgrade your report to show all 34 themes.
The StrengthsFinder ® assessment is also called CliftonStrengths ® in recognition of Don Clifton, the founder of Strengths. Gallup prefers to use the name CliftonStrengths ®.
Login to Gallup Access
The Gallup Access platform hosts the CliftonStrengths ® assessment and is the place to see your strengths reports. It may have been a while since you took the assessment and, understandably, you may not remember where or how to log in. These steps will help you.
Browse to https://login.gallup.com/ and click the Sign In button at the top right of the screen.
How to Find your Gallup Account and Reset your Password
If you cannot remember your login details, click on Need help with your username or password. Enter your email address and then you will receive a link to reset your password.
Note: The email address needs to be the one provided when you took the assessment. If you used a previous work address that no longer exists, you won’t get the password reset link. In this case, contact Gallup Support. Chat is the quickest way to get help or there are telephone numbers for several countries. Email responses take a little longer. The support team may ask if you can remember any of your top 5 strengths and the approximate date when you took the assessment.
View Your Strengths Reports
Now you are logged into Gallup Access, you can see your themes and a link to your Top 5 report. If you have unlocked all your 34 themes or purchased other reports, click on the relevant links.
The free version of Access, which most people have, will show the links to the reports on the right of the screen. Alternatively, you may need to scroll down and click on a green button to View your CliftonStrengths Reports.
The CliftonStrengths ® Top 5 Report
The CliftonStrengths ® new Top 5 Report was launched in January 2024. It contains the same information from the original report and more, laid out in an easier format.
As the name suggests, the report shows your top 5 CliftonStrengths ®. Each section provides a standard description, which is the same for everyone with that strength, and the personalized insights are unique to you. At the back of the report are links to exercises to help use your dominant strengths and further resources.
As you read the Personalized Insights, highlight the words or phrases that resonate. Show your report to a friend and see if they highlight more phrases. You may be pleasantly surprised.
A coach may ask you to share your report with them before a coaching session or a workshop. See How to Share Your Strengths Report.
Upgrade Your Strengths Report to see All 34 Themes
Unlocking the order for all 34 themes will enable you to discover your Dominant Talents, which are generally your top 10. Your top 5 themes equate to what you can do with one hand, whereas seeing your top 10 will show you what you can do with both hands. The more themes you have at your disposal, the more you can approach situations from different perspectives.
Your Lesser talents are in the bottom 5. Be aware of them but don’t dwell on them. Instead, think about how to use your Dominant Talents to mitigate for those at the bottom. Alternatively, find a collaboration partner or a coping mechanism to help you.
To unlock the order of your 34 themes you do not need to retake the CliftonStrengths ® assessment. An Upgrade Code will give you access to the All 34 Report.
After reading your All 34 report there are helpful online learning modules in Gallup Access. Working with a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach will help you make the most of the results.
Special Reports for Leaders, Managers, Sales Staff, and Students
In addition to the Top 5 and the All 34 reports, there are special Role-Based reports. These show the top 10 themes for Leaders, Managers, and those working in Sales. Each report contains specific examples of how your strengths contribute or get in the way of success. There are action items for the role and a practical outline for achieving your goals.
Those new to CliftonStrengths ® can take the assessment to receive the Role-Based report. If you already know your strengths, you can add the Role-based report to your Gallup Access portal. Click on one of the buttons to find out more.
How to Share Your Strengths Report
Sharing your strengths reports with your friends or a coach is easy on the Gallup Access portal. In the CliftonStrengths section, click on the Community tab. In the Users Sharing with Me section, click on the + to Share Your CliftonStrengths. Enter the recipient’s email address and select the report(s) you want to share. They will then see your report(s) in their Community tab.
How do I Change the Report Language?
The strengths reports are initially in English and you can choose an alternative language. Click on the language heading in the top right corner to see the list of available languages.
After making your choice, all the text in Gallup Access, the theme names and the reports adopt the new language.
How Can a Gallup Strengths Coach help me?
It is possible to gain a basic understanding of your strengths from the report, whereas a Strengths Coach will add another level of awareness. There may be a strength that doesn’t make much sense, or you expect to see a different strength. An experienced coach will help you with these questions. Furthermore, they will help you expand your knowledge of how your strengths can help or hinder your effectiveness. In addition, they can help you find practical ways to use your strengths every day.
